Joanna Huss

CEO and Founder

joannaAn energetic and dynamic leader, Joanna Huss’s no-barriers approach in helping clients unearth opportunities through informing has earned her company’s respect from business and nonprofit leaders. She led strategic public relations campaigns for renowned stakeholders such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving founder Candace Lightner and aided in crisis communications planning for major corporations. As the former press secretary to a big city mayor, Joanna understands the importance of engaging community and governmental stakeholders in PR efforts.

From 2007 to 2013, Joanna managed the media 24/7 for a big city during the most consequential shift in how news was being reported: the advent of social media. She adapted city government to this shift by leading the city’s first branding initiative that modernized communications platforms, including the early adoption of government Facebook and Twitter social media channels. This experience molded Joanna’s unique approach to PR, which includes blending traditional and modern media approaches in order to gain influence. National agencies, including the United States Secret Service and National Football League, have recognized Joanna’s advanced public relations efforts.

In addition to high-profile public relations work, Joanna was a guest talk show host on the nation’s first radio station, KDKA Radio, and served on the advisory board of Allegheny County’s Office of Children, Youth and Families. Joanna received her Master’s Degree from Carnegie Mellon University and is certified by the Department of Homeland Security as an advanced public information officer.

Rob Swadosh

Rob Swadosh is a trusted corporate advisor who develops research-based strategies and implements programs designed to manage crises,  enhance brand and reputation, heighten consumer awareness, support a company’s business model, and enrich valuation. An accomplished media and presentation skills manager, he tailors customized plans that meet the needs of specific business issues – planned and unexpected.

Rob has held senior management roles at nationally recognized agencies The Dilenschneider Group, Golin/Harris, MWW Group and Georgeson. He has helped shape iconic brand transformations, and delivered crisis-driven programs for clients including Allstate, Cutwater Asset Management, Danka Business Systems, IBM Services, InfuSystem, Johns Manville, Lincoln Educational Services and The Medicines Company. He co-founded brand consultancy S2 Communications, which developed unique qualitative research techniques to assess the strength of product and corporate brands in commercial and financial markets. S2 played a prominent role in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ groundbreaking “New Realities” response to the Enron/Arthur Andersen accounting industry crisis.

Rob is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University, and attended the Boston University School of Management and the New York Institute of Finance.

Charlie Crane

Senior Consultant

Charlie Crane brings more than 30 years of Wall Street experience to our team.  He is Chairman of the Board of Douglass Winthrop Advisors, a registered investment advisor based in New York City. He co-founded Scotsman Capital Management and was Managing Partner and of Spears Benzak Salomon & Farrell, as well as Chief Market Strategist for its corporate parent, KeyCorp.

Charlie’s extensive experience as an investor and writer brings a keen understanding of the connection between effective communications and building value for stakeholders.  He currently serves as an advisor to nonprofits including The Dempsey Center in Lewiston, Maine; The Flea, an off-off-Broadway theater in New York; the Center for Business, Government & Society at Tuck in Hanover, New Hampshire; and The Pool Association in Biddeford Pool, Maine, where he lives.

Lauren Kucic

By combining her witty personality with her business-focused mindset, she brings together social strategies that get noticed and tell the stories people need to know.

Although digital content is her specialty, Lauren is skilled at writing in other forms various audiences. From B2B collateral to fashion blogs, she has experience in building unique voices that hit the difficult balance of informing and entertaining.

Lauren grew up in Clarion, Pennsylvania and moved to Pittsburgh in 2012, graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. She is passionate about music, food, culture, art, and her community. When she’s not tweeting or monitoring trending stories, you can find her exploring a neighborhood, kayaking, practicing yoga, planning a road trip, or crafting something she saw on Pinterest. Lauren is an adventurous person who challenges herself to embrace new learning experiences.
